From Betty, the world’s first tweeting chicken to reinventing Valentine’s Day – this is a partnership very close to our hearts.

For Valentine’s Day 2019, we decided it to do away the cliché notion of flowers as a romantic gift idea. Instead, we posed a new question to the women of Australia – “would you prefer flowers or fried chicken this Valentine’s Day?”

With help from our friends at Faster Horses, we commissioned a nationwide survey to undercover the true way to a woman’s heart. The answer? Overwhelmingly Aussie women prefer fried chicken over flowers.

This simple, yet out-of-the-box idea spurred a media campaign that went on to reach more than 28 million people around the world. Requiring equal parts creativity and commercial nous, our team was able to breathe new life in Chicken Treat’s Valentine’s Day marketing campaign and help take its brand to new heights.
